Homes are wrecked, friends are brainwashed, and surprise villains pop out of nowhere!
Though "My Melody & Kuromi" is 100% a kawaii series, the show also knows when to get serious. That’s what makes it a great watch, not just for kids but for adults too! We do have to warn you, though, sometimes the show can get a little bit too dark. That’s why it’s rated TV-PG. It's better if younger audiences watch "My Melody & Kuromi" with their parents or guardians.
4. The Action Sequences Are Fun!
Yes, "My Melody & Kuromi" has fight scenes! You might not expect it given that Mariland is a peaceful forest, but like we said earlier, the show is full of fun twists and surprises. "My Melody & Kuromi" has a number of key action sequences, and they're all super creative!
Imagine super cute high-stakes motorcycle chase sequences between Kuromi’s gang and My Melody, accompanied by her besties Flat and My Sweet Piano. 6. It’s All About Friendship
Most of the time, casual kawaii fans aren’t quite sure about the relationship between My Melody and Kuromi. Some people think they’re besties. Others think that the Sanrio bunnies are actually in a relationship. But the truth is a little more complicated than that!
Kuromi and My Melody have always had a complex relationship. My Melody thinks of Kuromi as a friend, but Kuromi sees My Melody as some sort of rival. Despite her sweet and kind nature, My Melody can be a little bit obtuse, especially when it comes to Kuromi. Melo-chan is usually unaware when she’s accidentally hurting Kuromi, and in Netflix’s kawaii stop-motion series, you get to see that in action.
My Melody is the star of Mariland, and most of the time, she unknowingly steals the spotlight from Kuromi, even during the cheeky bunny’s birthday! Because of this, Kuromi holds some sort of grudge against My Melo and tries to beat her at what she does best - baking. Eventually, though, Kuromi and My Melody have to work together to help bring Mariland back together. In the end, the two learn that they’re better off working together!
