Fukubukuro Mania!

Japan welcomes the New Year with one of its most exciting traditions, the fukubukuro or lucky bag! Made up of the kanji characters for “fortune” (福) and “bag” (袋), fukubukuro are shopping bags filled with random mystery goodies. People line up outside their favorite stores every January to test their luck and see what surprises they get for the year ahead.

This month, we’re bringing that same thrill straight to your doorstep with our theme, Fukubukuro Mania!  Opening your box feels a lot like revealing a lucky bag, where you’ll find a mix of surprises. Some finds are cute, some are practical, and some are little treats meant to brighten your day. It is a simple way to enjoy the tradition for yourself and start the year with a bit of surprise and fun!
