Discover The Magical Art Of Studio Ghibli!
Studio Ghibli is a world-famous Japanese animation studio known for its breathtaking art and heartwarming stories.
From big hits like Spirited Away to underrated ones like The Wind Rises, Ghibli movies offer magical adventures with unforgettable characters for all kinds of audiences.

Get To Know Studio Ghibli
Founded in 1985 in Tokyo, Studio Ghibli was started by Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, and Toshio Suzuki. The name "Ghibli" (pronounced “ji-bu-ri”) means "hot desert wind" in Arabic and comes from an Italian airplane. Miyazaki chose it to represent a fresh breeze in animation!
The studio has made 22 movies, including fan-favorites such as Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Kiki’s Delivery Service. Totoro, the lovable character from My Neighbor Totoro, is even part of the studio’s logo!

What Makes Ghibli Special
Unlike typical anime studios, Ghibli focuses on high-quality movies instead of TV shows. That’s because they want to create detailed, realistic animation that captures human emotions, which tight TV budgets and schedules won’t allow.
What’s more, Studio Ghibli movies don’t stick to just one genre. While they often fall into the animated fantasy category, they mix in drama, adventure, romance, and coming-of-age themes to make the worlds and characters feel real.
