The Little Twin Stars are the cutest brother-sister duo that you’ll ever find in the kawaii-verse. Created by Sanrio, these twins aren’t actually humans - they’re literal stars that fly around in the sky!
Described as a “fushigi-kei” or a mystery by Sanrio, the Little Twin Stars live in Omoiyari Star and they love doing things with their plush bears made by fairies.
What Are The Little Twin Stars?
The Little Twin Stars is the group name of the cosmic twins, Kiki and Lala. Born right before Christmas on December 24, these mystical beings have been around since 1975. These twins might seem young and sparkling, but Kiki and Lala are actually retro Sanrio characters just like My Melody, Pochacco, and Hello Kitty!
Even though they're twins, these two cuties have very different cosmic personalities. Lala is a caring girl and can be a bit of a scaredy cat and a crybaby. Her twin brother Kiki on the other hand is brave and adventurous! This blue-haired star boy can fly through the sky with the star on his back.
How Kiki And Lala Shine!
The Little Twin Stars might be some of Sanrio's oldest characters, but their sparkle is so bright in the kawaii-sphere! The twins are so popular that they've always managed to stay somewhere in the top 10 of the yearly Sanrio Character Awards. Kiki and Lala always have a ton of merch as well as items from collaborations with big brands all around the world.
The twins are so loved that they get a ton of cheers when they appear in the Sanrio theme parks, Harmony Land and Puroland! Their fans can even float into dreamland at the Kiki and Lala Hotel in Tokyo!
